Saying that his whole sonata manuscript, along with the provisionally announced keyboard concertos--including various Bach concertos and four "Dramas" by Rolle--burned up the previous Wednesday night: he had some friends with him that evening and played them these pieces, and during the night embers set something on fire; he sends some sheets of manuscript and promises more soon.
